Annual Registration and Membership Fees
These non-refundable fees are payable at the time of registration.  All members will receive membership benefits and a vote at the Annual General Meeting. It is School policy that registration will not be accepted if past or current dues are in arrears. Registration and payment of tuition will be accepted only after all outstanding accounts are settled.

Lessons Not Billed in 36 week term
Christmas Break (December 22, 2008 to January 4, 2009), Scholarship Awards Festival week (February 7 to
February 15, 2009) and Spring Break
(March 16 to March 20, 2009).  Teachers may choose to make-up missed lessons during these weeks.

Statutory Holidays  
Lessons that fall on statutory holidays have been
included in the 36 week term and will be taught unless other arrangements have been made by the individual teacher.  Please verify the schedule with your teacher. Group, Orff, and Babies and Toddler classes that fall on a statutory holiday are not included in the 34 week term. Also, Christmas Break (December 22, 2008 to January 4, 2009), Scholarship Awards Festival Week (February 7 to 15, 2009), and Spring Break (March 16 to March 20, 2009) are also not included  in the 34 week term.

Payment Options
Tuition for lessons is due and payable at the time of registration in full by cash, debit, or cheque, or with 9 post-dated cheques dated September 1, 2008—May 1, 2009. Fees are payable IN ADVANCE of  lessons and all cheques/instalments must be received by the school before the first lesson begins. Students may register for private lessons anytime during the school year and fees will be pro-rated.

Group class fees are payable in advance  in full by cash, debit, or cheque, or with two cheques post-dated September 1, 2008 and February 1, 2009. All cheques/instalments must be received by the school at the time of registration.

Service Charges
Overdue Accounts –will be charged a $10.00 administration fee per month. 

     NSF Cheques –A $15.00 service charge will be applied to accounts for each NSF or returned cheque, or  declined credit/debit transaction

     Registration Adjustments—There will be no charge for the first adjustment; but for each additional      adjustment initiated by the student, a $15.00 service fee will be applied to the account.

     Cancellation Fee– Students withdrawing from private lessons will be charged a cancellation fee that is equivalent to two  lessons.

Missed Lessons Policy
The School is under no obligation to provide refunds or make up lessons unless the lesson is cancelled by the teacher.  Any exceptions to this policy must be discussed with the teacher. Lessons will be rescheduled or a substitute will be provided if missed by the teacher. Accounts may be credited for lessons missed by teachers. Requests for lessons missed by the teacher will be received until June 15, 2009.  Request forms are available from the Registrar and must be signed by the teacher.

Withdrawal Policy
It is understood that registration is for the full term of lessons and that the student has an agreement with the teacher to complete the year.  Students withdrawing from private lessons must notify their Teacher and the Registrar in writing at least 14 school days before withdrawal and these days shall be during the school year (excluding Christmas, Easter, and Spring Break).  Post-dated cheques or the balance of the tuition fee will be returned. Cancellation fee will apply.     

There will be no refunds  for students withdrawing from Early Learning Classes, Suzuki Violin Preparatory Classes,  Group Theory Classes, Enrichment Classes, Jazz Choir, Chamber Music, or Piano Ensembles. These programs are based on a sequential curriculum and if a student cancels during the term his/her place cannot be filled.

Transfer Policy
Changes to another teacher should not take place during the year except in consultation with the present teacher.  However, in exceptional circumstances, changes can be requested through the Principal and will be accommodated as scheduling permits

Transfer Policy for Group Classes
Due to the nature of these group classes, transferring to another class is not recommended.
