Music education enhances language development, social skills, self-esteem and creativity. The Langley Community Music School’s Early Learning Programs are designed to provide your child with a solid foundation for not only music, but also future learning. Every child can learn.

Classes are available for parents and infants from birth to three years followed by Orff and Suzuki programs for preschoolers. Baby and Toddler music classes are offered (selected) weekday and Saturday mornings and one evening class each week.

MUSIC FOR BABIES AND TODDLERS: 6 months - 18 months/18 months - 3 years
LCMS Suzuki Music for Babies and Toddlers program recognizes that children as young as newborn benefit from musical experiences. Classes are based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's philosophy that every child has unlimited potential.

Each 45-minute class is structured in a similar format, incorporating developmentally appropriate action songs, lullabies, and rhymes, with opportunities to play a variety of instruments. Through their natural enjoyment of music and movement, children learn to share, take turns, and listen. They develop increased co-ordination, concentration, memory, and self-confidence. Parents are encouraged to be active in supporting their child's learning during the class and at home.
